I have been photographing architecture professionally in the Roaring Fork Valley since 2008. My way of working is to use available light, being at the right place at the right time. Architects and lighting designers spend a great deal of time lighting the space. My technique is built around honoring those efforts. The way I approach a building photographically is shaped by the needs of the client, and my 35 years working in architecture.

15 imagesThe Aspen Community School, located above the Roaring Fork Valley in Woody Creek near Aspen, Co. My goal was to document the interaction of the students to the fine campus designed by Studio B Architects. The building captures the idea of community, and how that can relate to how our children are educated.

12 imagesLocated right off of Elk's Park, the original historic structure was lifted, so a new basement could be constructed. A 2 bedroom residential unit was built at the rear, with a deck connecting it to the original building. The historic building and it's basement are commercial spaces. I was responsible for all aspects of the Design, Construction Documents and Administration.
